Electronica Weekly’s kickoff concert at Kingdom! Performances by God Made Dirt, Erik Fox, A.D.E.N., Skywalk3R, and Eli Cash. This is the first of many shows to come, and we’re starting if off with a bang.

GOD MADE DIRT – God Made Dirt is a RVA based cross-genre group fostering progressive club sounds on the East Coast. Comprised of a trio of DJ/Producers (TRNR, Combine, & Proteen), GMD has been moving people through low frequencies rather than hype for over three years and have gained local notoriety for their parties in houses and basements with maxed-out capacity. God Made Dirt climbs a rising obelisk of sound spanning from the deep chambers of the UK underground to the sounds of classic Southern hip hop. Don’t believe the hype, come see for yourself.

A.D.E.N. (All Day Every Night) is a Richmond, VA native who has been DJing for years. ADEN comes from a background of Electro and House and has combined these with his newfound love for Moombahton and Juke into unique, bass-driven sets that are sure to please all. Through the years, A.D.E.N. has shared the stage with the likes of Jon Kwest, Cam Jus, Pls Dnt Stp, Skitsnygg, Obeyah, James Nasty & more. You can also catch him in the RVA scene spinning alongside local favorites HOYT!, Bobby la Beat, FukStik Johson, Long Jawns, KIDVID, Viking, BDTK and more. Currently ADEN is booking an east coast summer tour as well as finishing up 2 releases to be featured on “RVA Summer Comp” (Featuring J-Five) and “New Wave of Moombahton 4″. Social Security Records out of DC is set to release A.D.E.N.’s first EP in August 2012. Be sure to check out his new live all Moombahton show every Wednesday 7-8PM onwww.moombaplus.com

ERIK FOX – Via his widely-followed curated music blog, ‘Dope On Plastic’, Erik has spent countless hours behind the scenes with some of the industry’s greatest innovators, from 12th Planet and Skrillex to Nadastrom and Shiftee—and the variety of influence shows. Having come from a background of improvised jazz and dirty south hip hop, his performances are an eclectic, unexpected mix of soulful rhythms and heavy trap basslines with anthemic vocals. While still being relatively fresh to DJing, Fox has played numerous parties in Richmond and has even had the opportunity to perform in the DC club scene and on some big stages such as Pacha NYC and Webster Hall.

ELI CASH – Eli Cash is a 23 year-old up-and-coming DJ/Producer based in Richmond, VA. With his chief influences being Deadmau5, Girltalk, Madeon, and Pretty Lights, he draws upon a large range of genres and mixing techniques to create a unique live show that is sure to impress. While specializing in House, Progressive, Electro, and Moombahton, Eli Cash’s sets are sampling-intensive and his style runs the gamut from long, gentle blends to full-on multi-song mashups that he assembles live. Behind the scenes, Eli Cash is also the show manager/host, staff writer, and occasional videographer for Electronica Weekly. Check out his soundcloud page for a sample of his work::

SKYWALK3R – Sheb aka “DeathstaR” aka “Skywalk3R” aka “Puke Skywalk3R,” originally from Machida, Japan, moved to the United States in his early youth and started playing the saxophone and piano. While he began DJing at Florida State University, it was when he moved to Richmond and started a group, Nint3ndo, that his career started to really take shape. With their fresh, young attitudes, this trio appealed to a newer generation of EDM fans and Nint3ndo quickly shot up in the Electronic Music scene. In the past year alone, Skywalk3r has had the privilege of sharing the stage with the likes of Steve Aoki, Flo-Rida, Sander Kleinenberg, Designer Drugs, Heavygrinder, David Solano, and Aylen (to name a few) and has performed at DayGlow, RVA Music Fest, and the east coast’s largest rave, Otaku-Rave. Drawing from Acid House, Electro House, Dubstep, Trap, and Baltimore Club, Skywalk3r’s sets are fast-paced, high-energy, bass-heavy experiences that leave audiences clamoring for more.
